Move Beyond Burnout: Self-Care for Those Who Never Stop Giving is now on sale on Amazon for $10.99

In this short book, you will find a series of wonderful, inexpensive or even free techniques to give your body and mind the escape and pampering it needs without having to plan an expensive trip to a spa, travel away from home, engage in weekly classes, or go to costly gourmet restaurants. These simple, easy-to-understand lifestyle techniques are natural, time-tested, and effective for calming and soothing stress and daily concerns.

I hope these books give you ideas for thoughtful and useful gifts for your special lady.

Thinking of Mother’s Day brings warm, poignant memories of those women who were precious mother figures for me during much of my life and reminds me that those who contribute to who we are and who we are to become, are never absent from our lives. They live on in our memories, our expectations, and our understanding of the world and who we are as adults.

Not all mother figures are our birth mothers. Sometimes our “mother” is a neighbor, supervisor, friend, or famous figure we admire. They enrich our lives and help us understand and strive to be our best selves. We sometimes choose to be a “mother” to one of our acquaintances, recognizing a desire to provide support, guidance, and affection, to relish the affinity we feel for that fortunate other.

With Mother’s Day drawing near, I hope you’ll remember and appreciate someone who has been supportive and loving towards you.

Take care and be well, my friends,

Suanne
